Remodeling

Taking a mud bath is very much like remodeling.  While you’re in it some parts look clean and some parts look dirty. You can’t really see the results until you’re done and rinsed off.

Of all the construction processes, remodeling presents unique problems for a family. All of a sudden your home is a construction site and daily life is no longer “normal”. What was your kitchen and bathroom are now bare walls and pipes. The family room looks like a lumberyard, and the bathroom certainly doesn’t invite long stays to read the Sunday paper. Clutter and confusion seem to be everywhere. In addition to all this, there are choices to be made and problems to be solved.

The reward, however, comes at the end of the project. When the work is finished and the “mud is rinsed off”, you should be able to look back and say it was all worth it.

Getting through this process can be very trying. Living in a work zone requires good communication, patience and the ability to maintain the vision. Your contractor, the people that work in your home, should be sensitive to these issues.

Of course, others homeowners have gone on before you. You may have heard them say “it was all worth it”, or maybe they said “never again”.

The difference just might be in the company selected to do the work.
